Grading Policy

Your grade will be calculated by the following formula:

Average = Points Earned divided by Possible Points

The following percentages are approximations:

Tests/Quizzes 80% Homework 20%

Homework Policy
**
Homework is graded on effort and will receive 2, 1, or 0 based on the number of problems attempted and the work shown. All work must be shown!

Test Policy
**
Tests are given at the end of each unit and will be announced in advance. A review will be done before the test to prepare students for the material to be tested. Students who are absent are expected to make up tests on the first day back to school. If a student was out for more than a few days, alternate arrangements may be made.

Quiz Policy
**
Quizzes are usually given every 1-2 weeks. Students who are absent are expected to make up the quiz on the first day back to school. If a student was out for more than a few days, alternate arrangements may be made.

Projects
**
Materials

Students are expected to come to class prepared every day. Students should have a folder and notebook/binder with paper for this class.

TI-84+ Graphing calculators will be used in class. (It is highly recommended to have your OWN calculator to assist with homework)
