• Tests: 35%.
• Quizzes: 35%.
• Homework: 30%. Assigned Daily

 

 

Homework Policy
Homework is graded on effort and will receive a 2, 1, or 0 based on the number of problems attempted and the work shown. Model problems must be followed and appropriate methodology adhered to. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If absent student must show assignment that is due and 1 day will be given for each day missed to make up work. Illegal absentees will result in a zero grade. Quizzes will be given specifically from homework

 

 

Test Policy
Tests will be given at the end of each unit and will consist of questions similar to those discussed in class. Announcements of test dates are generally given a week in advance. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain any notes and assignments missed absence. If a student misses a test due to illness, it must be made up the day of the student's due to return. Students whom are absent from school for an extended period of time must arrange a make-up date for the test. No make-ups will be given for an illegal absence from class.

 

 

Quiz Policy
Quizzes will consist of problems similar to ones given on previous quizzes, homework, and class problems. Absence prior to a quiz does not excuse the student from taking the quiz. If a student is absent for a quiz, they are responsible to take the quiz at 2:45pm on the day they return to school. (Note: The student is also responsible to get class work missed while absent.) If a student is absent for an extended time before a quiz, the student will need to meet with me regarding make-up work and a make-up assessment.
Note: Unexcused absences will result in a grade of zero. Extenuating circumstances may be taken into consideration on an individual basis. Weekly assignments on castle island will be assigned and count
