Grading Policy
Students are responsible for making up all work when absent. Failing grades will be stamped "Please Sign". It must be signed by a parent and returned. Students should stop in before homeroom to get materials or assignments. All assignments have a grade value. Students will not be given "extra credit" to replace assignments not completed.

Homework Policy
Journal writing is a daily homework assignment. It will be graded each semester and students should follow the Statement of Purpose in the front of their journal. All homework assignments will be awarded point value.

Test Policy
All tests will receive advanced notice. See quiz procedure for test makeup information.

Quiz Policy
All quizzes are announced. Students should keep an assignment sheet updated in their notebooks which list all future quizzes when announced. Students must come in the morning after missing a quiz to make it up. Failure to do so will result in a zero for the quiz.

Projects
All projects are announced with advance notice. One major project will be given in regards to the unit on Shakespeare in the second half of the year.
